Sweet, faith related book with love and coffee included ;)

Five Coffees consists of a beautiful relationship between two people who know their own limits and commitments.
Luke, the honourable and hardworking actor. Married and with a wife and son at home, he is deeply in love with but cant deny the feelings he has for this woman who has helped him in his acting career over the last week in her company.
Tavora who is still struggling after the losses and heartbreak she has endured, feels this draw to the man who asked her for help in knowing more about her town. To better invest himself in his acting role.
Neither knew what the break week from filming would hold other than hours spent together daily and both recognising what the other has to face and both teaching one another inadvertently...

...He wanted to help her and, being Luke, the thought and sight of another human being in pain distressed him. He was ready to remedy that.
As Luke prepares to leave Tavoras life, I admit to feeling a little disappointed. Where was the big grand goodbye? But what a cliffhanger Cathy Jackson leaves us with. With the feeling of 'faith' being an ever constant in this authors books, this story felt similar despite the completely different direction from the bloom series with some amazing and refreshing new characters to enjoy and savour.
Very excited about this new series and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this pair who sadly, have too much in common. "God works in mysterious ways" very much sums up this book. I can't wait to see where this pair are taken next on their journey.

Five Coffees has all the elements of a great love story and will make you feel an array of emotions.

With Tavora we feel what it’s like to be alone and lonely. Tavora is alone after her husband passed away. She is lonely because she misses him and has chosen to isolate herself from others. She has built a wall around herself and has not been able to move on. She holds on to his last touch. With Luke we feel conflict. Luke is conflicted by his feelings for Tavora. He is happily married to the woman he loves and has a child he adores. Sacrifice, you give up something you really want for those you love.
Tavora and Luke dance around their feelings and declare them. They get to know each other and share what they have not shared with others. They become comfortable with each other and develop a comfortable friendship. This story is beautiful, happy and sad. It all blends in at the right time and makes it feel so very real. This story took my heart and made me fall in love. I am looking forward to the continuation.

“Reaching out his thumb, he wiped the honey off of her chin and slid it into his mouth. The warm honey had cooled on her chin and mixed with her. His thumb slid out of his mouth, realizing what he had just done. It was reflex.”

Great read!

Five Coffees is a journey filled with emotional and spiritual essence along with romance. Luke is an actor who needs to get into the role of a lawyer, but finds it difficult. This time he has been given an ultimatum of week in which he decides to get to know the people of the town more. The town in which they are shooting is small, simple, nothing too lavish.
This town also happens to be the home of Tavora, our female protagonist. Her heart belongs to only one person, her late husband, Jim. She has created walls around her so strong that it is difficult for her to be around people at time especially in confined spaces.
I have loved how the author has created this connection between Luke and Tavora by bringing them together. Luke and Tavora start off as being friends, where Luke remains faithful to his wife and son, and where Tavora helps him as being his guide.
But things change. (Not giving any spoilers).
The end of Book One is funny and I absolutely loved it. It is a conversation between Luke and Aisling about Tavora *wink wink*
The most important aspect of this story for me was the writing part. I think I have never felt at ease with third person as much as I did with this story. I've always dreamed of reading such story set in a small town, and it even had a huge library which was a plus point for me. I felt this story to be authentic in it's nature.
The flow. The flow of the story brings out the perfect emotions the readers need to feel. You don't have that break or bumper where you need to go back to understand something. Everything falls into place on it's own time. Well, except for Luke and Tavora's meeting
I personally recommend this book.
