Good art, insight into collectors

_Paint or Pixel_ is a collection of interviews about science fiction and fantasy art, both from the angle of traditional media (anything that the artist does directly with their hands) and computer art, and from the financial and business effects of digital media. There are interviews with artists across the spectrum of those who use entirely traditional media to those who use both traditional media and digital methods to those who've gone entirely digital.
Part of what I liked about the book is simply that there's a lot of good sf art in it.
One effect of digital art is that it's much easier for the art director to make changes.
Note to artists: digital art seems to be more physically wearing to produce that traditional media art. Traditional media involve more varied movements.
I eventually got bored reading the interviews with collectors-- unsurprisingly, they're more like each other than the artists are. Still, it was worth finding out how strong a drive it is to feel a connection with the artist because the art was handmade by them.
That motivation combined with the desire to have a unique piece means that artists with traditional media skills sometimes make hand copies of art which was created digitally in order to have something to sell to collectors.
